I want to know few words meaning in oil and gas sector because aim new to that,I have googled it but don't get satishfied answers.

1.What is meaning of Barrier Fluid ?How and where it should be used?What are flids used as main barrier fluids?
2.Meaning of Dead Man Valve ?Working principle and What is the standards for this?
3.what is neccesity of nitrogen at PSV piping?

1. A fluid between the two seals in a double mechanical seal arrangement.
2. A spring loaded valve you have to hold open. The spring closes it.
3. No idea, send P&ID or sketch.

Remember, your company may treat P&ID as proprietary: Posting them on the net might get you fired.

PSV = pressure safety valve, or pressure relief valve (PRV), or thermal relief valve. Are you sure it is on the nitrogen piping, and not on the cooling water piping, of a plan 53 reservoir for example?

I beleave its a pressure relief valve because its part of LP Flare line(Inlet) and Outlet is Nitrogen line.
