V/RPM to V/(rad/s) in electrical radians conversion

V/RPM to V/(rad/s) in electrical radians conversion

V/RPM to V/(rad/s) in electrical radians conversion

(OP)
If Ke = V/RPM, converting to mechanical radians would be: 60s/(2*pi radians) =9.55V/(rad/s).

Converting to electrical radians: we would multiply the above by (pole pairs * radians mech) / (radians elec).

Thus converting V/RPM directly to electrical radians would be: : (pole pairs * 60s)/(2*pi radians)=57.2V/(rad/s). Is this correct?

RE: V/RPM to V/(rad/s) in electrical radians conversion

close but not quite.....

forget pole count - has no meaning here. have u ever heard of a motor Kb rated in v/krpm per pole pair? nope. it is v/1000rpm -- where the r in rpm is a rev of the motor shaft. so pole count has nothing to do with it.

so yes, v/rpm is indeed simply convert minute into seconds & convert a motor revolution into 2pi radians.

dont forget that most Kb ratings are in v/Krpm so take that 1000 into account too.

RE: V/RPM to V/(rad/s) in electrical radians conversion

just reread ur OP - may be you really are trying to convert to ELECTRICAL radians rather than mechanical.... not sure what value that would be to anyone, but ok, guess you could divide by pole pairs if you wanted....
