Has anyone figured out dow to fix the attribute problem?

Has anyone figured out dow to fix the attribute problem?

Has anyone figured out dow to fix the attribute problem?

(OP)
We are running NX8 and have a problem with attributes.

1) The attributes do not update the annotation on our drawings even though they are referenced to them. That is using master model drawing style. On top of that if we delete and reimport a brand new detail note and reassociate it the information is still wrong.

2) Our stock size attribute does not update when we use the mold wizard stock size button. It must be linked to the expression that is created. That also references back to issue one.

RE: Has anyone figured out dow to fix the attribute problem?

Can you provide a sample part(s) which exhibits this behavior (problem)?

Here is an example of what happens. We have a job that is very similar so we will clone assemblies and drawings over to the new job.
Then to update the detail note we will copy and paste the annotation referencing the new part. It will only partially update.
In this file the detail 102 is similar to another job. When the detail note is updated it will update the size but not the quantity.

Thi problem also is not consistent. It could be size on one occasion but quantity in another and across different parts.

RE: Has anyone figured out dow to fix the attribute problem?

I tested this with both NX 8.0 and NX 8.5, and it appears that it has been fixed in NX 8.5.

I'm not that deep in your problem, as far as I know there are some componentname issues- with cloning, from a germany board try this journal code:

But what I'm interested in is how you manage the barcode on the drawing.
Could you offer more information?

RE: Has anyone figured out dow to fix the attribute problem?

Starting with NX 8.0 you can now use TrueType and OpenType fonts on Drawings. So if you need to create a 'barcode' note, try using one of the standard 'barcode' TrueType fonts, such as IDAutomationHC39M.

For more information about some of the various 'barcode' fonts available, go to:

I don't know if it will fix your specific attribute problem, but there are some attribute-related fixes that have been backported from NX8.5 and should be in MP5 for NX8.
