best way to indicate lockwire in assy

best way to indicate lockwire in assy

(OP)
Good day:

Has anyone worried about the display of lockwire in an assy. I have an assy that calls out the wire and is discriptive as to how it's used. I'd like to show the lockwire. It doesn't have to be a part of the model per se, I can create something in Pro/Detail.

Thanks in advance.

RE: best way to indicate lockwire in assy

If you are not worried about making the part as a ProE model, then simply create a blank part and assemble it to the top level assembly. The blank part should have the parameters needed for the drawing call-out (like description, ...)

You can then make a Detail sketch showing the lockwire in the drawing.

Hope this helps you out.

Steve
