SOL106 CGAP Non-Convergence using FEMAP V10.1.0

SOL106 CGAP Non-Convergence using FEMAP V10.1.0

(OP)
I have a plate element model that uses CGAP elements to model contact in a joint and CBUSH elements to represent the fasteners. There are (5) load cases and (5) constraint sets with act in different directions. Using SOL 101 the model solves and behaves as expected for all (5) directions. For SOL 106 one direction does not converge while the other directions behave as expected. If I remove the CGAPs the model solves in all directions using SOL 106. I am using FEMAP V10.1.0 with NX NASTRAN. Any thoughts on how to chase this down?

Thank you.

Eli
