References for Storage Tanks

Hi engineers, big smile

I've tried looking for it in the forums but couldn't find anything.

Do you have any special recommendations regarding books & references on storage tanks (API 650/620)?

I'm going to be hired in a Company which deals with them, and I would like to take a look at the fundamentals (especially theoretical basis for design).

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. winky smile

Stefano

RE: References for Storage Tanks

Check the references in API 650 / 620, especially footnotes, which will lead you to the original works that became the basis for some of the designs.

RE: References for Storage Tanks

UL 142, API 653, API 2000 to the list of good stuff to know.

RE: References for Storage Tanks

Stef,

The "Aboveground Storage Tank handbook" by Phillip Meyers is worth the money.
