Datum Identifier Color Issue

Datum Identifier Color Issue

Datum Identifier Color Issue

(OP)
AutoCAD 2012

To begin I don't know that we are using the program correctly. Basically everything is being drawn in model space as it should appear on the sheet with a layer for each sheet. This is how the program was taught to me and I'm sure it is not taking advantage of the program features, but I don't THINK that is contributing to the problem.

Basically when I place a datum Identifier symbol in it begins as a yellow color, so I changed the settings under "Edit Datum Identifier Standard". This changes the color of the arrow and the letter, but does not change the color of the box around the letter.

With yellow being the hardest color to see on a white background I need to change it to black. So how do I change the color of the box? Google has been less than helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Found the solution:

Type "Options" into the command line.

Double-click the ANSI

This will bring up a dialog which has the option to change the color of symbols.
