ASME B31.3 unlisted components

ASME B31.3 unlisted components

ASME B31.3 unlisted components

(OP)
Per ASME B31.3 paragraph 304.7.2 Unlisted components:
Calculations and documentation showing compliance with paras. 304.7.2(a),(b),(c), or (d) and (e) shall be available for the owners approval.

Does that mean:
(a) and (e) will be okay? Or is it (a) & (b) & (c) & (e)?

Thanks guys.

RE: ASME B31.3 unlisted components

It says that the pressure design is to be substantiated "by one or more of the means stated in (a) through (d) below." However you also have to check your design for adequacy of mechanical strength as described in paragraph 302.5. Then comes the bit about having your calculations and documentation available. (e) just says you’re allowed to interpolate between sizes, wall thicknesses, and pressure classes, and may determine analogies among related materials.

You might want to read it a bit more closely.
