Is it ok to heat treat 7075 to O1 per AMS 2772 and then 7075-T73 per AMS 2770 even though AMS 2770 only has a provision for W or AQ to T73? O1 as I understand it is same as W or AQ but with a slower defined cooling.
In order for this to work does the heat treatment in AMS 2772 have to be in accordance with AMS 2770 temper O1 heat to 870F +/- tolerance.
