Arinc connector and housing sizes!

Arinc connector and housing sizes!

Arinc connector and housing sizes!

(OP)
Hi everyone,

I am newbie to aerospace industry. Please go easy on me. This could be a vague question.

I am trying to build a prototype box which incorporates an arinc 404 series connectors with a number of other components such as pcbs, plates, spacers, flex, guages etc.

I was told that when you design anything with arinc connectors, there are minimum dimensions within which the box needs to follow. It cant be any smaller. I don't know if there are any such things. Does anyone know what standard it is that I need to follow when I am designing an outer shell or box or housing (if what I understood was correct).

Quick google search only shows me the connector information.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Also please refer to the above thread. May be I am right there are standards to build these boxes.
