Advise on rubber like material and IR signals

(OP)
Hello

Is there any special property on an elastic rubber (similar to rubberbands that will not block IR signals from passing thru it ?

This would need to be molded into any particular shape via injection molding or other similar process. IR signals would need to be either recieved or transmitted from a device encapsulated in this rubber like material which would be about 1/4" to 1/2" thick, also the possibility of color is needed when manufacturing it.

Thank you
Xavier
