tapping points

(OP)
I have been designated the task of creating all hook ups for an off shore upgrade. My question is, apart from using flange tapping points, or corner tappings for small bore pipes, when would you use the other types of tapping points, i.e. the vena contracta tapping points, or the radius tapping (8xOD for LP and 2.5x OD for HP) ??

Also, is 6mm O.D. imperial tubing standard for most oil platforms?? and when would you use 10mm instead??

Any help would be much appreciated!

RE: tapping points

If you're asking specifics for offshore practices, I don't do know, I'm not there.

But if you want general practices, the first one is a 127 page tome on tubing and tube fittings, the 2nd is specifically for DP transmitters, but on page 5 there are criteria for selecting tubing sizes.
