NX 8.5 Assembly and Part Navigator Toolbars?
NX 8.5 Assembly and Part Navigator Toolbars?
(OP)
Just getting NX 8.5 set up and starting to test it out. I have configured the latest version of NXCustom to our requirements.
I have noticed that the Part Navigator and Assembly Navigator toolbars seem to have disappeared. Is this as-designed or a problem with my configuration? These toolbars were pretty useful!
Many thanks in advance!

They still exist.
Try Preference / User Interface / Layout / Reset Window Position

And YES, they are NO longer available. They were really hold-overs from an era before we were providing all of the gesture-controlled options available from within the Navigator's themselves. And as we continued to add new options and functions, the toolbars were falling behind anyway since some of these additions didn't made sense to even be launched from a toolbar so they kind of 'died' as result of becoming irrelevant (it happens and will continue to do so over time as the UI evolves).

John, you are correct, it was the toolbar controls that I noticed had been removed. Thanks for the confirmation. I understand the need to evolve the interface, but I don't look forward to telling our engineers that these toolbars no longer exist, as a LOT of them use these!!
Nevermind, only a minor grumble... The new functionality in NX 8.5 looks fantastic so far. It looks like the commands still exist so I guess I could put some custom toolbars together and add them to my NXCustom configuration?
