ProE WF4.0 - Using family table instances in a drawing
ProE WF4.0 - Using family table instances in a drawing
(OP)
Hi,
I have just started working with family tables in Pro Engineer (Wildfire 4.0) and cannot seem to use the instances in drawings.
The generic for the family table is an assembly containing two parts. The tables consists of 32 instance and 7 parameters (created in the generic assembly). These parameters control the offset of datum planes in the model, thus changing the dimensions. All instances have been verified.
I have a drawing format with the page split into 4 by borders. I am trying to create a series of drawings, each showing 4 instances of the generic. I can open up the models of the instances no problem, and the dimensions are correct. However when I use an instance in a drawing all the dimensions are the same as the generic, no matter what instance I have loaded.
Any ideas what is going on here?
Cheers.

RE: ProE WF4.0 - Using family table instances in a drawing
Right-click on the drawing, outside of views, etc, and select Drawing Options - this will allow you to add more parts/assemblies to your drawing.
You will need to add each instance that you want an image for, then you can create a drawing view of each instance.
Please note that any table will only link to one model - this is the one that is active when you create it. If you want to BOM all views, you will either need to create a table for each instance, or manually create balloons.
