Custom Drawing Template Not Appearing When Creating New Document

Custom Drawing Template Not Appearing When Creating New Document

(OP)
When I create a new drawing, my custom saved template is not showing up as an option. Other custom templates are appearing and I saved the template as a .slddrt in the same folder and I double checked to make sure Solidworks is pulling from that folder.

I can create the drawing and then right-click properties and change the format to my custom sheet, but I would like it to give me the option to choose my custom format when creating a new drawing.

Is there an option I need to set to have my custom format show up?

WHOOPS! Problem solved, just needed to save as slddrw format. Duh-doi!

RE: Custom Drawing Template Not Appearing When Creating New Document

If you want to save a drawing template you need to save as a .slddot format. What you did was save the sheet format which is the .slddrt file. The .slddrw format is the actual drawing.
