API 614 Anunciator System (Is it in Local or in DCS?)

API 614 Anunciator System (Is it in Local or in DCS?)

(OP)
Hi,

Im currently working on an API 614 4th ed lube oil system and one requirement from Client is for it to have a "First Out Annunciator" (Para 6.3.7 API 614 4th.).

Could somebody advise if what is the purpose of this annunciator?

Does it have a separate panel in the local near the skid for the lamps such as alarm , reset , running etc?

Is it also possible to have the annunciator system in DCS instead of local?

Thanks in advance.

Tilas

RE: API 614 Anunciator System (Is it in Local or in DCS?)

The purpose of the annunciator is to let you know what goes wrong and yes you can place it where ever you want. Manytimes it is local because when you start the pump you have someone there, but you could put it in a computer system if you want.
