V-Ball Or Trunnion Ball valve ???????????
V-Ball Or Trunnion Ball valve ???????????
(OP)
Our company is one of Valve supplier .
As received inquiry from one of our clients,
We need the one control valve for controlling flow in plant,
But as below situation we need your consulting technical in true equipment choice,
Situation:
In this case we need to Control flow and this is necessary flow don’t have low pressure drop in flow way,
It should be noted because the fluid is sticky and dense, so there is valve possible stuffy the port.
So kindly please recommend me the best choice for control valve as material and type,
Let me know, do we need V-Ball or with trunnion ball valve is possible controlling this flow.
WTR/TA/HB(S) FLUID
185 FLOW RATE (M3/H)
87 INLET PRESSURE(BAR.G)
87 TEMPERATURE (c)
3.5 DIFF.PRESSURE (BAR)
4" Pipe Size

A V-port ballvalve is often used for difficult media, often steam, thick fluids or fluids with high dry particle content, and can give in circumstances bettter total peformance than other regulating valves for the same problematic fluids.
I have not controlled size/flow for your data.
Check problems if the fluid when dry give glue-like deposits requiring special cleaning or flush-through when stopping or starting.

i can send to you flow data sheet if you need,
and please recommend to me which type valve is better to use ,
also valve size is 4 inch , class 900 ,
and imust say you , after working more time , valve port is blocked due to a high concentration of the fluid.
RE: V-Ball Or Trunnion Ball valve ???????????
A trunnion (or floating for that matter) ball valve is an on/off or "block" type device. The valve position vs. allowed flow graph is very non-linear and it will allow 100% of flow at somewhere around 20-40% open. These valves should never be used by a designer in a flow-control scenario (sometimes the field guys find themselves in a situation where the only valve available for flow control is a ball valve for a one-off requirement, but the designer shouldn't ever put in a ball valve specifically for flow control).
Valves appropriate for flow control include globe valves, V-Ball valves, and chokes of various technologies. These all have valve position vs. allowed flow graphs that approach linear. The Fisher V-Ball is one of the best, but also one of the most expensive members of this class of valve.

"Belief" is the acceptance of an hypotheses in the absence of data.
"Prejudice" is having an opinion not supported by the preponderance of the data.
"Knowledge" is only found through the accumulation and analysis of data.
The plural of anecdote is not "data"

my question is about V PORT ball valve,
i told with my fluid is dense , actually i am looking for manufacturer V-Port Ball valve ,
if is possible please let me know more producer V-Port ball valve in Asia or middle east .

I know there are at least two in South Korea -- but I don't remember their names.
Best to you,

how can we have contact
do you have skype ID?

I'm feeling overly generous this afternoon. Click away below for contact info. If you need more, put this in Google:
"segmented ball valve" slurry
Be sure to keep the quote marks ("") around the first three words but not the last one.

If it's the angle of the V notch, you don't have a choice.
I have never seen anything like that... Maybe someone else can help.
OR, you can contact those companies in the links in my previous post.
Best to you,
