VFD reactors

VFD reactors

VFD reactors

(OP)
Dear all,

a question about the values in mH and A of the output reactro between the VFD and the driven async motor.
We install them when cables between VFD and motor are longer than 20-25 meters.
In case the manufacturer data are not clear or there are delivery or stock problems I believe it is better
- in doubt - a smaller value of inductance and a larger value for the current. Example:
VFD three-phase 4 kW Omron series MX2 - recommdended 7.3 mH and 8 amps
Suppose we install 3.6 mH and 16 amps - maybe less effective, but surely does not harm?

thank you

RE: VFD reactors

The only harm is additional cost and time I would say. I would doubt very much output reactors are needed just for 25m motor cable length.
