Isolated Phase Busbar Modfications

Has anybody any experience in the UK of any companies who would willingly carry out modifications to 23.5kV nominal rated IPB from a 660MW set initially installed around 1980. Purpose of the modifications is to install a new Generator CB.

Looking for pointers who to approach from past forum users projects. Alternatively they may have to carry out a new IPB installation to suit one of the other supply options.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Isolated Phase Busbar Modfications

I'm curious - Drax? Or one of the AGR's?

Cheers Scotty. Can't say too much due to the project but its North of the border and gas fired.

RE: Isolated Phase Busbar Modfications

No problem. Emform did some work for me after after a major accident wrecked the IPB for one of our sets in 2001 - not the prettiest welding I've ever seen but functional.

Didn't think the UK had any gas-fired stuff that big - except maybe Peterhead?
