No Valid drg sheet Template pax found

Hi,
I am getting following error message while starting Drafting in UG NX7.5

"no valid dwg sheet template pax was found
the sheet template option will not be availble"

Can you pls explain how to fix this?

Thanks.

RE: No Valid drg sheet Template pax found

Hi,
Is your query regarding NX in managed mode? Or is it in native only.If it is NX managed mode then please make sure that the drafting templates are imported prior.
Best Regards
Kapil

Hi kapmnit123 ,
Thanks for the reply.
In UG Native only, I am getting this error.

No idea then...one option could be checking your NX installation . Even do check the .pax files in the UGII/TEMPLATE.

RE: No Valid drg sheet Template pax found

There is a number of possible simple-reasons for this error.
Depending on where you work ( small / big company) If you have multiple users you might like to centralize things like templates and settings.
For templates one can set the UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR which will tell NX where to find the pax files for file - new and also Sheet templates. ( I.e when you insert a sheet into an existing drawing file.) In case you work native the template parts should be in the same directory. If one sets this variable and the directory is missing the pax files, - the described message is the result.

Open the NX logfile, Help - NX Logfile, then in that search for UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR
- If it exists, verify that the directory contains a .paxfile named
ugs_sheet_templates.pax
If not, copy the file from your install directory\ugii\templates to the specified directory.
Then test again.
If the variable does not exist, the paxfiles and the parts can exist in the directories specified by UGII_SITE_DIR or UGII_GROUP_DIR or UGII_USER_DIR under the \startup\ directory.
If the paxfiles do not exist under these NX will look in the default directory UGII_BASE_DIR\ugii\templates

Search the logfile for ".pax" and you can see the address of the paxfiles the NX did load.

Regards,
Tomas
