Step files distance from WCS

Step files distance from WCS

(OP)
Hi all, another newbie question I'm afraid.
In NX7.5, I'm importing STP files to make drawings of them. These files open at a distance from the coordinate system- this is making importing views a pain when in drafting, as the standard views are mostly of space. Does anyone have any tips on how to fix this? either by moving the stp files to the WCS or anything else.
Thanks
Simon

RE: Step files distance from WCS

If there is "nothing" at the ABS / WCS 0;0;0 then your views should be automatically centered around the actual model, no dead space in the views. Make sure that the component you place on the drawing uses the reference set "Model" then eventual coordinate systems should be filtered out. - The center of the model under the cursor when placing the view.

Regards,
Tomas
