Plate top vonmises stress

Plate top vonmises stress

(OP)
Hi,

Abstract:
I have problem with analize with beam elements and plate elements model.
I have used model with spring dof element and rigid element.
I have used nonlinear static analize.

Problem:
i can't find Plate top vonmises stress in "post procesing data"

Thanks

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

Hi,

Are you sure that you checked the Stress Results in Outputs ?

Best regards

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

Analysis Set Manager / Nastran Output Requests --> check the stress results

Analysis Set Manager / Nastran Output Requests --> check the stress results
Everything is checked. Still nothing. I don't know what is wrong.

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

what element results do you have ?

Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

(OP)
"Plate" results

Plate x membbrane force
Plate y membbrane force
Plate xy membbrane force
plate x bending moment
plate y bending moment
plate xy bending moment
plate X TransShear Force
plate Y TransShear Force

beside it i have:
- total, T1, T2, T3 Translation
- total, T1, T2, T3 Rotation
- total, T1, T2, T3 Constraint Force
- total, T1, T2, T3 Constraint Moment
- beam: force, moment, strain, stress
- spring axial force
- gap force

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

did you tick stress results, in the autoexec ?

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

Can you tell me where is this "autoexec"?

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

model/analysis/edit

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

just curious ... why are you doing a non-linear analysis ?

Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

model/analysis/edit
then 9 times click "next"
window: "nastran output request"
section: "elemental" checked:
+force 0. .Full model
+stress 0. .Full model
+strain 0. .Full model

i have big bath, inside is fluid. This bath is supported by steel construction. Between bath and construction i have springs. And in some place springs was fully crushed.
Results is that in this places bath have plastic deformation.

sorry for my english :)

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

so you're getting stress output now ?

Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

(OP)
Yes but only for beam elements.
I can't check plate stress, because femap don't give me it back in results.

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

on the same nastran results screen,
tick "corner stress results" (under "customisation")
maybe also change output option to "print and postprocess" so you can see the raw nastran results, the f06 file.

It's work!!! :D
i have had "postprocess" clicked but not "print and postprocess"
huge thanks

RE: Plate top vonmises stress

that shouldn't've done it !! ... the "only" difference between output options "postprocess" and "print and postprocess" is that the latter prints the f06 file ...

but if it works, it works ...
