CT Ratio Error When Installed on Transformer Bushings

CT Ratio Error When Installed on Transformer Bushings

(OP)
I'm getting error ranging from 2-20% when measuring the CT ratio on bushing CTs mounted on power transformer bushings with two different automated test sets that use secondary current injection.

Could this be due to the magnetization of the power transformer core affecting the readings? If so, is it possible to get an accurate reading on CTs mounted on a transformer?

If not, do you have any idea what could be causing this issue? Bushing CTs on breakers do not cause any issues and the error is within 0.5%.

Thank you.

RE: CT Ratio Error When Installed on Transformer Bushings

What type, kV rating, winding configurations? Have you grounded all of the proper windings(not under test) per test set instructions?
