Torsional Resistance of structural steel shapes.

Torsional Resistance of structural steel shapes.

Torsional Resistance of structural steel shapes.

(OP)
I recently had to determine the torsional stress on a structural channel (C10x15.3). I used the formula which has the torsional resistance as a factor in the equation. However I could not find a reference that listed this parameter as a property of the section. I ended up calculating the torsional resistance by hand. Does anyone know of a reference material which lists torsional resistance as part of the properties of steel sections?

RE: Torsional Resistance of structural steel shapes.

The torsional constant, J and the warping constant Cw is given in the steel handbook. Torsional stress and rotation can be calculated from that. See the attached link for further information.
