Please recommend vendor for Shaker Controller

(OP)
Hello All,

I'm looking for a shaker table with a controller that can replicate field psd data.

I've come across Vibration Research for a good controller and TIRA for the shaker. Can anybody ercommend any other vendors.

Specs: Shaker 500 lbf, max moving weight about 60-70 lbf,
frequencies from 10 Hz - 1 kHz.

Controller : Single loop, 8 channel feedback, produce sine wave, and replicate field data.

Thanks in Advance,

George

RE: Please recommend vendor for Shaker Controller

Ling is a pretty popular supplier of shakers and controllers.

There is  a thorough set of links to vibration equipment vendors at:

I recommend Unholtz-Dickie for shakers.

For control computers, consider Spectral Dynamics.

A good approach is to contact several control computer vendors to arrange for demonstrations.

RE: Please recommend vendor for Shaker Controller

I have worked with Ling, LDS, and Unholtz Dickie shakers, with Unholtz Dickie and VibrationResearch controllers. As far as Inputting field data, I know VR has a relatively simple import process, once you get the data into a readable form. But I don't recall their method of inputting PSD's.

With UD controllers, I have no experience working with playback of field data. Their PSD input is simple, although the level selection table can be a bit confusing.

Both kinds of controller have no trouble running sine sweeps.

RE: Please recommend vendor for Shaker Controller

I have experince of several controllers and shakers, currently the strongest company for controllers is m+p international as for shakers, Gearing & Watson are good for service and support a better long term bet than LDS
