Element shape check in NX

Element shape check in NX

Element shape check in NX

(OP)
I'm relatively new to NX

The results of element shape check in NX are based on the following criteria:

1)Aspect ratio
2)Warp
3)Skew
4)Taper
5)Jacobian ratio
6)Jacobian zero
7)Minimum angle
8)Maximum anle

I would like to know if theere is any theory manual available in NX which gives
an insight into the above criteria or should we be referring to FE texts?

Chris

RE: Element shape check in NX

I don't think these shape checks are unique to the NX FEA solver. I'd suggest starting with a good FEA book (I don't have any recommendations off the top of my head).

Check out forum727: Finite Element Analysis engineering, a search or a look in the FAQ section may answer your question. If not, there are some very knowledgeable people there that will be able to answer your questions or point you in the right direction.
