Ferritic stainless steel sheet or/and powder
Ferritic stainless steel sheet or/and powder
(OP)
I work at a laboratory, testing samples of ferritic stainless steel (20%-30% Chromium) in very oxidizer atmospheres. I have read that to better oxidation protection, 0.05%-0.8% mass addition of elements such as Mn, La or Ti would help to form stable and convenient species at the interfaces, without losing electrical conductivity. I'm really interested in finding suppliers of FeCr sheet or/and powder with such composition.
Best regards,

The research showing rare earths to be excellent for scale stabilization in austenitics has not yet led to any new grades in ferritics for this purpose, possibly because the titanium stabilization coincidentally performs the same function.
