C3D10 element node ordering

C3D10 element node ordering

C3D10 element node ordering

(OP)
Hello, this is my first post here. I am new to Abaqus (using it for my research).

I have a very simple model with C3D10 element. There are 4 "main" nodes for the element, say 1,2,3,4. If I reorder the nodes as 1,2,4,3, shouldn't I get the same result? However, Abaqus is complaining when I give it 1,2,3,4; but accepts when I give it 1,2,4,3.

More details: I am posting the problematic line from the *Elements section:

This is right:
001266, 000528, 000527, 000061, 000062, 003354, 001988, 001989, 001311, 001310, 000845

This is wrong:
001266, 000528, 000527, 000062, 000061, 003354, 001310, 001311, 001989, 001988, 000845
Error message:

Any help will be much appreciated.
