Bridges on Vertical Curve

Bridges on Vertical Curve

Bridges on Vertical Curve

(OP)
Hi,

I am trying to gather some background information on the Lift and Swing Bridges and would really appreciate if you can help. Assume the bridge is on a vertical curve above a 100m wide river and the gradient of the road is changing 1% every 10 meters. In general terms;

- Is it possible to design/build such structures?
- Any advantages of one on the other?

Thanks
Murat

RE: Bridges on Vertical Curve

You appear to have interlaced two questions. Clarify, describe with more precision.

Michael.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

RE: Bridges on Vertical Curve

it's a lot of complication of 5.5m, no?

wouldn't a flat bridge deck be cheaper ?
