how to add a joint to existing SDB model given its coordinates?

how to add a joint to existing SDB model given its coordinates?

how to add a joint to existing SDB model given its coordinates?

(OP)
I am very new to SAP2000. But after more than 1 hr trying to figure this, I am not able to find how to do it.

I was given an SDB file for a model. I need to add a joint at a given coordinate that is given (X,Y,Z).

I am not able to find how to add this joint at this coordinate. I tried to add an entry to the JOINT COORDINATES table (using DISPLAY->SHOW TABLES->JOINT COORDINATES) but it wont let add an entry there.

When I do ASSIGN, the JOINT option is not active. (it is grayed out).

It is a very complicated structure we have to work with, and I am not sure how to about finding where this joint is supposed to go to. I only have its coordinates.

Is there a way to add a joint, given its global coordinates?

SAP 2000, V 15

I found how to do it. Done using:

EDIT->Interactive Database Editing . Now I can edit the joint coordinates table.
