Calculating Mass flowrate bewteen and inner and outer cylinder.

Calculating Mass flowrate bewteen and inner and outer cylinder.

Calculating Mass flowrate bewteen and inner and outer cylinder.

(OP)
Attached is a spreedsheet that calculates the massflowrate between an inner and outer cylinder. The inner cylinder is 1 inch in diameter and there is .001 inches of space between the inner and outer cylinder. I need to convert this spreedsheet from english units to metric units. However, when i converted each unit shown on the right to metric the final mass flow rate doesn't equal my direct conversion from lbs/s to kg/s. Any advice? I'm sure its just a conversion I'm doing incorrectly

RE: Calculating Mass flowrate bewteen and inner and outer cylinder.

Take a look at the gas constant. I back calculated the MW in the english units to be 16 and in the SI units to be 29. But that does not explain being off by a factor of 100. Check your cell math. Attaching the spreadsheet would make it much easier.

Good luck,
Latexman

Don't convert the spreadsheet, convert the input and output.

Independent events are seldomly independent.
