Unidentified Spline Profile

Unidentified Spline Profile

(OP)
I'm fairly new to Eng-Tips and usually only search through the forums and Google, but have had difficulty finding an answer to my problem.

My company designs and manufactures components which use splines to transmit torque between components. Our newer products use 30° pressure angle splines which follow ANSI standard B92.1-1996. However, some of our older products use 20° pressure angle splines of unknown origin. Unfortunately our documentation practices 30 years ago were not as good as they are now. Would anyone have the experience to identify which standard these 20° pressure angle splines follow given the following drawing specs?

Internal Spline
Flat Root Side Fit
Number of teeth: 30
Diametrical Pitch: 6/8
Pitch Angle: 20°
Pitch Circle Diameter: 5.000 inch
Wire diameter: 0.240 inch
Distance Under Wires: 4.796 inch min/4.799 inch max

RE: Unidentified Spline Profile

That is a standard Fellows stub pitch that is generally used for gears but can also be used for spline profiles.
There is no spline standard that specifies this profile.
