Basic meshing

Hi,

The geometry I’m trying to mesh is made by two different solids (see attached file). My question is: how can I make Patran understand that these two solids are just one body? Or how can I unite them?

In the way I’m working, Patran is making two different meshes and the nodes don’t match (see attached file). I tried the equivalence command, but the distance between the nodes is too large.

Does anyone knows what I’m doing wrong or has some advice?

Thanks

Hi,

I tried the Boolean tool, but I do not have the Parasolid Modeling license, so it is not available... Anyway, thank you for your answer...
Any other idea?
