calculation of the center of gravity in ABAQUS

calculation of the center of gravity in ABAQUS

(OP)
Hello,

Please can someone tell me how can I calculate the center of gravity of elements, nodes, surfaces… because in coupling or rigid body interaction I need to connect some nodes to their center it's easy in Pam-Crash but in Abaqus I don't know how I can get it.

Thanks

RE: calculation of the center of gravity in ABAQUS

Set POSITION=CENTER OF MASS if the reference node is to be located at the center of mass of the rigid body.

I didn't understand you where can I find position=center of mass? in set when I choose the reference point I don’t have the choice to put POSITION=CENTER OF MASS in coupling or rigid body for example.

In input file you can put it, after the *rigid body keyword. Search for 'center of mass' in the manual.
