Dear all,
First of all, let me explain the problem briefly. I was set to model a spherical cell contained by a block of gel. I was trying to calculate the circumferential strain across the cell surface. The output results from the simulation provide many sorts of strain, eg. Principal strains, also strain components E11, E22, E33 and E12, E23, E13. My question is then followed. Are these strain components named under global coordinate system or specific local coordinate system, ie. eg. E11 is along X axis of the global coordinate system?
Thanks in advance.
