Highlgiting multiple sheets

Highlgiting multiple sheets

Highlgiting multiple sheets

(OP)
Changing cell contents over multiple sheets can be a wonderful thing, UNLESS (yes I was yelling), unless you don't realize you have multiple
sheets selected. Only an idiot would do this right? Well I stand accused.

Is there a setting that let's you know when you are doing this? Obviously paying attention might freakin help!!

I know. Rub it in. I almost never have to highlight more than one sheet. Needed to print two sheets and forgot to unhighlight the second sheet.

Live and learn I guess.

RE: Highlgiting multiple sheets

I did it once, Doug - you're not alone. Fortunately, didn't save the file before I noticed what I'd done. Once was enough.

Best to you,

Goober Dave

I knew that I wasn't the only one Dave but I still felt like a moron!

RE: Highlgiting multiple sheets

I almost never select multiple sheets, but having just had a look I must say that the "highlighting" of the tabs is pretty muted, almost to the point of being invisible (at least in Excel 2010).

RE: Highlgiting multiple sheets

I second Doug's (IDS) comment about "muted". That is one of my gripes about the newer versions of Excel...the muted color schemes. I expect this was done to make things nicer on lcd screens versus older crt's, but now with older eyes and vision I sometimes have to really hunt for the visual cues in Office and triple check before committing.

RE: Highlgiting multiple sheets

As a repeat offender I sometimes change the tab colours when I am working between multiple sheets, makes the highlighting stand out better.
