Live Load Reduction in RISA 3D

Live Load Reduction in RISA 3D

Live Load Reduction in RISA 3D

(OP)
RISA 3D users:

Is there an easy way to use live load reduction for a multistory structure in RISA 3D?

Thanks

RE: Live Load Reduction in RISA 3D

It doesn't do it automatically so you have to do it manually with multiple types of live load cases and sequential runs of the model for each floor level.

Thanks JAE!

RE: Live Load Reduction in RISA 3D

Not with RISA-3D. RISAFloor has this capability, but not RISA-3D.

In version 12 of RISA-3D, we are hoping to get RISA-3D to do live load reduction automatically. This feature would be based on RISAFloor information about tributary areas. Therefore, the feature would only be available for RISA-3D models which are tied into RISAFloor. At some point, it could probably be added to 3D only models. But, it will first be limited to only for Floor / 3D models.

Thanks JoshPlum.

How much is RISAFloor?

RE: Live Load Reduction in RISA 3D

It's approximately the same price as RISA-3D. However, pricing questions are best handled with direct communication... at least if you want the most accurate price quote. If you visit our website via the link below, you can contact our sales staff directly.
