DXF import
DXF import
(OP)
Hi,
when I import a dxf or dwg, lines and texts are imported in the modeling envirnment of the drawing.
It's possible to import directly in the sheet area or in a blank view ?

RE: DXF import
Try opening the dxf directly with the following setting (image attached herewith.).Hope this helps.

RE: DXF import
this is not what I asked.
I want the dxf lines and texts into the drawing, not related to the modeling environment via a classic view.

RE: DXF import
this option is not present in my dxf setting.

RE: DXF import
I am using NX8.0.2. I guess you are using IMPORT/AUTOCAD DXF/DWG. Instead could you please try opening the DXF directly from FILE/OPEN.You may get this option in that case.I am attaching a picture illustrating the same.

RE: DXF import
I'm under TC and File->Open doesn't have all the option like in native.
Anyway, I will do in native and then import in TC.

RE: DXF import
We have to open a native NX, import the DXF into the £D environment, create a drawing then export a CGM.
The CGM can then be imported into the drawing view on the correct drawing.
RE: DXF import
I just had a discussion with aone of our NX expert and here is the solution (you need to import the dxf in a new part). I am attaching a image herewith. You will notice that the dialogs are same now (FILE-OPEN in native). So you can import the dxf directly inside the TC drawing.
Let me know if it works for you.
