Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could advise on the galling resistance of 25cr (UNS S32760) on 25Cr. I have has a good search on the Internet and Iam struggling to find any info on its resistance to galling in machine cut threaded components.

Other than it is low/
Go to Outokumpu and search the professional tools on the web site. They may have galling data.
I'll ask one of them tomorrow (I am at NACE).

Thanks guys the info is great. I do apologise for the multiple posts I did it that way to promote more feedback thinking that people generally stick to their preferred forums.

RE: 25Cr Galling Threshold Stress

The people who will bother to answer you, have _many_ preferred forums.

Oh. I'd be inclined to use lots of Never-Seez, regardless.
