Hello everyone,

I am a beginner on Abaqus (ver 6.11-3) and I am currently working on a medical prothesis. I would like to realize some direct cyclics experiments with a Periodic load but some things annoy me :

- Why are there 2 ways to define loads and boundary conditions (1 in "Step" and 1 in general options, as it appears on my screenshot). For real, I do not get how to realize a simple direct cyclic experiment because my loads are never taken in consideration by the software.

- What is the definition of the Magnitude of the load? If I create a sinus with an already defined y-intercept, I can't put magnitude at 0. Is it a multiplicating coefficient?

- Moreover, is it possible after that my prothesis incured a lot of cycles (about 1.000.000), to save the profile of my prothesis in order to keep the deformations and the caracteristic of the tested solid?

They are the same thing, just split up over the steps. If you rightclick on 'loads', you can select 'manager', there you see how your loads are applied over different steps. I can't really say why they are not taken into account without more info.

Yes, the magnitude is multiplied by the amplitude to define the load.

Do you mean get the deformed configuration of your output? You can do: file/import/part/*odb/import deformed configuration.
