Hyperform Autotipping

(OP)
Hi All,

I am using the Hyperform package from the Altair HyperWorks suit.

My question is that I am a bit unsure what the auto-tipping function does. Does anyone have any idea? It seems to output an angle, after 'calculating the auto tip'.

From what I understand, it is the angle which the blank is held at before the product is stamped. Can anyone clarify or confirm this for me?

Also, generally when products are stamped, do machines have the capability to hold a die at an angle?

Thank you all in advance for your help.

Regards,

Fahmid
