Text Position?

Text Position?

(OP)
Hello all,
Just though of another problem. Does anyone know how you specify text round a point eg, If you wanted to show text writen around the circumference of a circle.

This one has been bugging me for a while.

Software: AutoCAD LT 2002

Cheers, James

RE: Text Position?

Go to http://www.cadonline.com/ Cadalyst web site and go to the Get the Code section, find the May 2000 section. There is a Curved Text lsp routine.
Hope that this helps you.

RE: Text Position?

James,

I'm afraid if you want to be able to do arc text, you'll need to upgrade to regular AutoCAD.  LT (as far as I know) doesn't allow the use of lisp routines and that is the only practical way to do arc aligned text.  If you want, you could create several pieces of text at the position you want the text to be on the arc.  Place a different letter in each text entity and then rotate them around the center of the arc until they look like a word (or whatever).
