Hazardous Zone for Pump. using IP 15

Hazardous Zone for Pump. using IP 15

Hazardous Zone for Pump. using IP 15

(OP)
The IP 15 3rd Edition covers the hazardous zone produced by flanges, seals and also casing failure. The recommendation for the casing failure is to to use a hole size equivalent to 10% of the pump discharge diameter.
We have a Thermal fluid operating above its flash point. This results in Category C fluid.
Base on 250 mm Nozzle, the hole size is 25mm. At a pumping temperature of 10 barg, the resulting hazardous radius is in excess of 30m.
With high integrity seals the radius is 4.5m for seals.

Is there any measures that can be taken to reduce the hazardous radium from 30m? or is my interpretation of the code incorrect?
