Making a cut in an assembly

Making a cut in an assembly

Making a cut in an assembly

(OP)
Hi I am looking for some help in Pro E 4.0. I am looking to make a cut through an assembly in order to view the inside "guts"/parts and to make sure all my parts are aligned correctly. Is there an easy way to do this???

RE: Making a cut in an assembly

Do you just want to visualize it? Go to View/Display Settings/Visibilities and change the clipping depth. You can also hide outside parts or put them in wireframe.

For both model and drawing use you can make a cross section. View/view manager/xsec.

You can also make an assembly cut but this adds unnecessary overhead and features and is kind of a last resort.
