Creating Three Sequential Part Number Files

Creating Three Sequential Part Number Files

Creating Three Sequential Part Number Files

(OP)
Is there a way in TeamCenter or Unigraphics NX to create three sequential part number files at one time, so no one else can pull a number and break up your attempt to create the three sequential part numbers?

RE: Creating Three Sequential Part Number Files

Yes, I think there's a option in Teamcenter which can manage pre-assigned file names for a project.

As for native NX, you'd need to write a custom application which would execute when you did a File -> New... in order to do something similar.

Of course there's nothing preventing you from simply creating, using File -> New..., three new Part files, immediately assigning them names and Saving them, even if they were basically empty. Then as you were ready to actually use them, you simply do a File -> Open... and start working.

Thanks, John, for the reply. I will have to find the option in TeamCenter. I cannot do it manually in NX, because new parts are constantly being created in this company. Thanks, again!
