Does anybody knows what are the valves rates (A-G) in table A.5 in bs en 12266 refer to?
I am trying to create an acceptance criteria for resilient seated ball valves leakage rates in natural gas PRMS's and dont know which rate to choose.

That is exactly what I am looking for,

ballsellman, when you say that resilient seated ball valves leakage should be zero, you put the valves under RATE A.
where is it written? which valves should be under RATE B? C?, D?....

The acceptance criteria for the leakage test could be stated in the valves design code.
API 6D/ISO 14313 set criteria for acceptable leak rate according to ISO 5208 in the testing chapter.
Leakage for soft seated valves shall according to API 6D not exceed ISO 5208 Rate A
ISO 5208 is harmonized with ISO EN12266
