Pipe nomenclature question

Pipe nomenclature question

Pipe nomenclature question

(OP)
Hi everybody

Someone can help me with the meaning of the XSE for a swage nipple. Normally this type of fitting comes with TLE/TSE (threaded large or small end) or PLE/PSE (plain large or small end) or something else but I can't find what is XSE. Thanks for your responses

Best regards
kNdash

RE: Pipe nomenclature question

XS usually refers to "extra strong".

Independent events are seldomly independent.

RE: Pipe nomenclature question

Is it an anagram ?

RE: Pipe nomenclature question

I believe that may stand for Extra Strong (XS), Eccentric (E) ... as opposed to an Extra Strong (XS), Concentric (C) swage nipple. Similar to reducer fittings, swage nipples can be made concentrically or eccentrically. This is just my guess though.

RE: Pipe nomenclature question

Good guess.

Independent events are seldomly independent.
