Hi,

Is it possible to add the Thred detail in Part Family spreadsheet. Actually I need to create the screw of different thread sizes using part family.

I am using NX8.5 as of now and can see that the thread parameters can be included in the part family spreadsheet.Is there any i am missing to your post.

Attached is an example showing how you can include thread details in a Part Family. Note that for Male Threads there is no easy single entry sort of scheme but you'll have to follow the procedure used in the sample part. However for Female Threads, starting with NX 5.0 they can done be done using a single feature entry in the Part Family (I've not included an example of how that would be done but can if anyone is interested).

OK, attached is an NX 6.0 Family Table template example with a female thread. You will note that the only Expressions needed to control the size of the thread are the String Expressions representing the Thread Size and the Thread Type (and if you're not mixing 'types' like I did in the example, you can leave out the 'Thread Type' expression). When you add this Component to an Assembly all you have to do is pick the desired 'Thread Size'.
