I am trying to write a macro to apply surface load on element. The load depends on the position of the element relative to the active coordinate sysytem .. Can any one help me by sujjesting some command s or techniques to find the diatance of the element from the coordinate system. or applying the flux in a spacial field as such..

RE: Ansys macro coding

Don't know anything about Ansys, but the distance of an element from the origin of a Cartesian coordinate system is x2 + y2 + z2.

Correction...(x2 + y2 + z2)1/2.
