Thanks have had not to worry about it for awhile

And did not have the book with me

RE: 60 second dry pipe trip test

skdesigner,I don't get. Does the code mean from the time that the inspector's test connection is being opened to a full opening position?

open the inspector test valve fully----- time starts when valve is in the full open position

time end when water starts coming out

RE: 60 second dry pipe trip test

Typically you would use a globe valve on the inspector's test. It usually takes a few seconds to spin the hand wheel wide open - sometimes a few seconds is the difference between the test passing or failing.
